Habitat for Humanity of Cecil County, Inc. is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit,
non-denominational Christian housing organization. HFHCC works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate
decent, afordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest.
HFHCC provides a "hand up" not a "hand out" to Cecil County families in need. Partner families are offered the opportunity
to help themselves; to own a decent, affordable home of their own, which they pay for and maintain. Partner families
are required to invest hundreds of hours of "sweat equity" into building their homes.
